Mr. Patrick Ashton had first learned about TaeKwonDo when his son who was then 5, started training. In 1999, on his 46th birthday, his five year old son made yellow belt and asked him to join TaeKwonDo. Mr. Ashton trained under Mr. Kenneth Christopher in Deep Creek Virginia for several years, becoming a fully certified instructor and 1n 2004 moved to North Carolina to start his own program. From 2005-2010 Mr. Ashton ran his program through the City of Jacksonville’s Recreation and Parks Department. Mr. Ashton’s Academy is located in the Cross Pointe Shopping Center on Western Blvd in Jacksonville, NC.
Mrs. Anne Ashton
A 3rd Degree Black Belt in Ho Am TaeKwonDo, Mrs. Ashton is the co-owner of the Tiger Rock TaeKwonDo Academy. She has been in the martial arts for 12 years and has studied under Mr. Kennenth Christopher, Mr. Scott Baker, Grand Master Hee Young Kimm, Grand Master Don Anderson, and Grand Master Terry Newton. She is also a US Navy Nurse Corps Officer, and has served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a flight nurse and operating room nurse.
